Supply, decimals, the creator's locked coins, metadata, graduation presets and the first buy, with the exact limits.
Figures on this page are read from this server's own settings and data when the page loads. These are every option a launch offers, with the limits the server enforces. The wizard checks the same rules as you type, and the server checks them again before it builds anything. Only options that Meteora's programs support and Staple has tested are offered.
How many coins will ever exist. All of them are created when the coin launches and no more can be created later. Unsold coins wait in the Meteora pool, controlled by Meteora's program, until the coin graduates.
How finely a coin can be split. With 6 decimals the smallest amount is 0.000001 of a coin; with 9 it is 0.000000001. Every amount is stored as a whole number of these smallest units, which caps the supply for 9 decimals.
You can set aside part of the supply for your own wallet. It is locked: you receive none of it while the coin trades on its curve. When the coin graduates, a waiting period starts; after it, equal parts unlock every 30 days. If the coin never graduates, the coins are never released to anyone.
1,000,000,000 coins with 5% locked, a 30-day wait and 12 monthly parts:
Who can change the coin's name, ticker and metadata link after launch.
The description and image are served by Staple at the coin's metadata link, which ends in the coin's mint address. Coin pages read the authority facts back from the chain rather than repeating your choice.
A preset sets where the coin's market cap starts and where it graduates. The price rises as people buy on the curve and falls as they sell. When enough SOL has been paid in, the coin moves to a regular pool: see Graduation.
| Preset | Market cap, SOL | To graduate | With a 10% lock |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small76% sold on the curve, 24% kept for the pool | 10 to 100 | 24.025307335 | 21.622776601 |
| Standarddefault78.9% sold on the curve, 21.1% kept for the pool | 30 to 420 | 88.576623265 | 79.718960938 |
| Large81.7% sold on the curve, 18.3% kept for the pool | 50 to 1,000 | 182.743997631 | 164.469597868 |
Market caps are fully diluted: where the curve starts and where the coin graduates. "To graduate" is the SOL that must be paid into the curve, the exact threshold the Meteora SDK computes for these settings on this server's fee policy; every preset needs at least 10 SOL, the least Meteora's keepers will graduate.
You can buy your own coin in the same transaction that creates its pool, so nobody can buy before you. It pays the normal trading fee and moves the price like any other buy.
These are not options: every coin launched on Staple ends with both set to none.
A coin's page reads both from the chain after launch and shows what it finds.
